Former Ghosts was a name that drew my attention, the title of their debut "Fleurs" did it less for me, but who am I to complain about flowers? Former Ghosts are yet another supergroup of sorts, featuring Freddy Ruppert (of This Song Is A Mess But So Am I), Jamie Stewart (of Xiu Xiu) and Nika Roza (of Zola Jesus). What we get on "Fleurs" is an album of melodic synth-pop, with some crazy discordant moments, pleasing fans of Joy Division or Interpol relying heavily on synthesizers.Available from Upset The Rhythym is a white vinyl pre-order LP edition of "Fleurs". As this label is UK based, US customers can also get the regular black version from Insound for $15,99.
