Glasgow's Frightened Rabbit have a pre-order up for their new 7" called "Swim Until You Can't See Land", which is the first single for the follow-up of their sophomore and breakthrough ‘The Midnight Organ Fight’ album. The new so-far untitled album is due spring 2010, so this 7" serves as a nice little teaser, featuring 2 new tracks which can already be streamed on their myspace.
While you're visiting the Fat Cat site, you might as well also immediately do yourself a favour and pre-order the upcoming "It's Thunder And It's Lightning / Ships With Holes Will Sink" 7" by another Glasgow outfit We Were Promised Jetpacks. These guys are good friends of Frightened Rabbit, and are bound to become one of Fat Cat's most noted acts. They actually do have much in common with the aforementioned band or with that other Glasgow band The Twilight Sadin and they also don't attempt to hide that lovely Scottish accent, but they're more uptempo and postrock. Definitely worth checking out as well, so pre-order both these 7"s from Fat Cat
